Well hello everyone. It's been a while since I was last on here. Have not really had access. Been busy with work and figuring life out. Always throwing surprises at me. Anyways, been drawing a lot though. Soon I'll have a scanner up and running so I can at least upload any and all my sketches.
I added an older piece that I simply took into a program called GIMP and I played around in that and gave my drawing a background and some other effects. The software is a lot like Photoshop with only a few minor differences and changes. Plus hey!! It's free!! So I'm not complaining.
Well I finally got to go to MegaCon after like 8 years. Boy has it gotten HUGE!! I did not explore alot because the first thing I saw was the dealers room. Once I got in there I pretty much made a B-line for the artist tables. I had a really great chance to meet some really talented people and all of them were really nice and friendly. The artwork was amazing and beautiful and a whole range of other feelings that I wont try and describe. I did end up with a couple of favourite artist and I bought some prints, got some e-mails, and luckly they are all a part of this community.
Let's see, my great friend Kevin bought me a copy of Animation Master. So I have some new 3D software to try out. Now to just convince my roommates to let me use their computer. Since at the moment I do not have a computer of my own.
So once again thanks Kevin.
Lot's and lot's of cosplay, wish I would have had a camera. Some of the outfits were amazing!!!! Again I missed of of the rest of the convention because I spent the entire day walking around the artist tables just talking to the artist that were there. Maybe next time I'll widen my range and check out the rest of the Con. But let me tell you, for just the area I walked in, my feet do hurt.
Anyways I'm off to go draw. Being around that many creative people gave me tons of inspiration.
Below are the links to some of the artist I met at MegaCon, I highly suggest everyone checks them out.
Woohoo, I can't wait to go to sleep and then wake up and go to MegaCon. It's going to be soo much fun meeting all those artists and seeing all those fun toys and comics. I'm also going to be taking some of my artwork and seeing what people think. I hope they don't hate it.
Anyways, just thought I would share my excitement with you guys.
Well I feel like I learn something everyday when I jump onto DA. I'm still learning the ropes around here, but I love it so much.
Unfortunately for now I must leave to go to work, but one must do what they must to survive.
Tonight I'll most likely scan some more stuff I have hidden in some of my sketch pads in my room. God what I would not do to get my hands on a tablet. One hates being a poor artist.
