Learning with oil paints.

Been trying to learn how to work with oil paints. I know I have some of the things I need but I'm not sure I have everything or how I'm supposed to use it. Such as the turpentine oil and the painting oil medium. Anyway I figured I would write an entry in my journal and see if anyone I know knows anything about oil painting.
